Travel

When making your choices for education and training it is important to consider which course providers are convenient for you to get to and how best to make your journey to and from the school, college, training provider or employer.

Enter your postcode into www.upmystreet.com to find out the bus or train station nearest to you.  You could also contact your local bus company to find out where your nearest stop is.  Things to consider when you are choosing which form of public transport to use are

Making connections

If you need to catch more than one vehicle to reach your destination, make sure you leave enough time for the first to be delayed slightly but still catch the second, particularly if you are travelling during rush hour periods or in the evening when services are less frequent.

Also think about how you are going to get to the station or stop.  If you plan on walking, don’t walk alone unless someone knows what you are doing – and try not to walk anywhere alone in the dark.
